The Des Moines Menace continued their proud history of partnering to build diversity, equity, and inclusion within their spaces. They hosted Menace Pride and Mental Health Awareness matches which included developing and wearing specially designed kits. Funds raised from the sale of the Pride jerseys were donated to Capital City Pride and funds from the Mental Health Awareness jerseys were donated to Iowa Healthiest State Initiative. The Menace organized a free soccer camp for 51 refugee children in the Des Moines metro area. All players received a Menace shirt, water bottle, free lunch, game tickets, and Menace posters. Menace also organized a free pre-game soccer clinic for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Iowa. A total of 23 participants received coaching from Menace players and free game tickets. In partnership with Pro Iowa, Menace donated 100 soccer balls to Can Play, an organization that provides adapted and no cost programming to remove playing barriers.
